Invoices sent over from MagManager to Xero should have the client payment method set as Direct Debit.
If your Xero account is set up with GoCardless to collect payments automatically on the due date. It's important that you have the correct GoCardless app connected.
The connection needs to be created to Xero through GoCardless and it's the specific 'GoCardless For Xero' app that needs to be connected NOT GoCardless (the regular app). They may have similar names but function in different ways.
You'll know you have the correct app connected when you look at the GoCardless Settings > Connected Apps
GoCardless for Xero will be in the list of Your Connected Apps
On the main GoCardless Dashboard - GoCardless For Xero will be listed at the bottom of the sidebar.
How to Find Connected Apps in Xero
In your Xero Account > Click on the Company Name top left of the screen > Select Settings > Select Connected Apps
Once connected > GoCardless will appear as a connected app beside MagManager and any other apps you have connected.
To connect your Xero account to GoCardless For Xero go to:

Scroll down the page and click on the Log in to connect GoCardless and Xero now and follow their instructions.
