There are various ways to upload artwork for a front cover depending on how the space has been booked. In example 1 & 2 a fully designed full page PDF file (incorporating any adverts) should be uploaded. Ensure the artwork PDF has been exported with cropmarks and bleed - See the notes Indesign & PDF Settings For AutoPublish Adverts for reference.
1 - If the Front Cover has been added as a full page on the flatplan
Click the centre of the full page to open the advert details > Click Upload Artwork to upload the fully designed full page PDF > If the artwork bleeds switch on the Crop Marks & Has Bleed toggle switches > Click Save.
2 - If the Front Page has partial bookings on it - Use Override Page Artwork
Open the page layout (Hover over the page number and click when layout is displayed).
From the page layout settings > Turn on the Override Page Artwork toggle switch > Click Upload Artwork > Click save
3 - If the Front Cover has been added as a Page Background
Using a page background, gives you the option of uploading a fully designed full page like the options above or uploading a full page front cover template, which allows you to place advert bookings on top. Useful if you have adverts on your front cover such as a banner.
Click the centre of the page background to open the advert details > Click Upload Artwork to upload the full page PDF > If the artwork bleeds switch on the Crop Marks & Has Bleed toggle switches > Click Save.
To add additional advert(s) to the front cover > Drag & Drop the advert from the side bar onto the flatplan. The advert will sit on top of the page background.
