Preferred positions are available for premim pages, this allows you to select a page for an advert at the time of booking, the page options available to you will depend on your publication settings.
Switching on pages for preferred positions
To update the preferred position pages available to you.
Click the cog wheel top right of the screen to access the main settings page > Under Publications & Bookings select Publications > Select any one of your publications > Select the Defaults tab > Scroll down to the bottom of the screen > Turn on/off the toggle switch for the preferred pages as required - these on/off setting apply across all publications so no need to switch them on for additional publications..
Allow multiple adverts on premim pages
By default preferred postions are only available for full page bookings. To allow multiple adverts ie two half pages on a premium page go to System Default settings and turn on the toggle switch Allow Multiple Adverts on Premium Pages.
Adding a preferred position to a booking
You can select a premium position for the advert at the time of booking – **by default this is available for full-page bookings only. Click the drop-down menu where it says ‘No preferred position’ and choose a premium page.
If a booking has been assigned to a premium page (such as inside cover or page 3), it will automatically be placed on the flat plan with a lock icon indicating that it cannot be moved from that page.
If you select 'Right-hand page', it displays on the booking line and a right-arrow icon will appear on the advert displayed on the flat plan, and you will see a warning if you try and place it on a left page.
If you select 'Not near competitor', it displays on the booking line and an icon of two boxes will appear on the advert displayed on the flat plan, and you will see 'Not close to competitor' when you hover over it.
If you select 'Special Position' it displays on the booking line and this text is also carried forward onto the booking confirmation email. and you will see 'Special Position' when you hover over it.
