Adding New Issues (Months) To Your Publication

For Publication Six Monthly to Annually click here to read additional notes below.

There are 3 ways of adding a new issue (month) to your publication

NOTE: MagManager will create your new issue based on the page count of the last created issue, not the last issue you sent to your printer.

In the screen shot below the Autumn Leaves June 2018 issue will be created at 48 Pages. If you require your future issue to be at a higher or lower page count, you would add/remove pages from the May issue first then create the June 2018 and any future issues.

Option 1 - Click on Publications in the top navigation bar > Click the green New Issue button to the right of the screen > Click the green Create Issue button for the months you want to create a publication for.

Option 2 - Go to settings by clicking on the gear icon, top right of the screen > Under the Publications & Bookings header click Publications  > Click on the name of one of your publications. This will display a list of the issues already set up.

To add a new issue, click the green New Issue button at the top right of the screen.

You can now click Create Issue for the months you want to create a publication for.

Option 3 - It is also possible to create new issues of a magazine directly from the Client bookings tab. To enable this feature, go to settings by clicking on the gear icon, top right of the screen > Under the  Settings header click on System Defaults > Under Site Defaults, switch on "Show Add Issue on Bookings”.

The green Create Issue button will then be available on the client booking screen.

Publications Six Monthly to Annually

By default MagManager will only display the 'Create Issue' button for issues 3 months ahead of your last issue.  If you print less frequently than quarterly follow the steps below:

In this example Test Publication's last issue was created for March 2022, it's an annual publication so the next issue you need to create is for March 2023.

In order to create a new issue for March 2023 you first need to create an issue for June 2022 then September 2022 & December 2022.  Once December has been created March 2023 will then come into view and you can go ahead and create a new issue for March 2023

The next step is to delete the issues you do not intend to use, so June, September & December.  You can delete these by following the steps below.

Removing issues from your publication

Go to Settings, then Publications, and click on any of your publications.

Click the green New Issue button in the top-right of the screen. You will now see that any created issues which currently have no bookings show red.

Click on the red box and you will be able to delete the issue.

NOTE: If you still have bookings or invoices relating to an issue, the issue will be greyed out and you will not be able to delete the issue until you first delete these.
