If you use an accounting package such as Xero & KashFlow you can track your MagManager financial transactions using the account codes of your accounting package.
Note: Inventory Codes are not available through the MagManager integration with Quickbooks - All sales will go to the one sales account in Quickbooks, by default.
In each case you first need to set up MagManager to use account codes. Click the gear icon on the top-right of the screen > Settings > System Defaults and switch the “Use Account Codes” toggle on.
Setting up KashFlow Account codes
If you wish to use your KashFlow account codes in MagManager:
Go to Settings > KashFlow and click on “Sync Accounts Codes”
Go to Settings > Publications. Click on each of your publications, and go to the Defaults tab.
You will now have the option to choose from a drop-down menu next to "Account Code" next to the Publication Name - these correspond to the Accounts codes (or nominal codes) in KashFlow.
Setting up Xero Account codes
If you wish to use your Xero account codes in MagManager:
Go to Settings > System Defaults and switch the “Use Account Codes” toggle on. Next click on Settings > Xero and click "Sync Accounts" and "Sync Inventory".
Go to Settings > Publications & Bookings > Publications. Click on each of your publications, and go to the Defaults tab.
You will now have the option to choose from a drop-down menu next to Account code next to the Publication name - these correspond to the Accounts codes (or nominal codes) in Xero.
Next to each of the advert sizes you can also select from a drop-down menu for the Xero Inventory codes.
You can also set up accounting codes for your Miscellaneous items by going to Settings > Publications and Bookings > Miscellaneous Sales Items.
Click next to an item and enter the Inventory Codes and the Account codes from the drop-down menus. Click Save.
