How to set up access to MagManager Content 

Click on the gear icon top right of screen > Under Publications & Bookings - Select Publications > Open each of your publications > Select the Defaults Tab > Enter the Postcodes your publication covers.

IMPORTANT: Repeat this step for each publication if you have more than one.  If you fail to do this the download options will not appear and a message reminding you to add you postcodes will be displayed.

 

How To Accept the MagManager Licensing Agreement

Click 'Articles' In the top Navigation bar

Click any one of the articles displayed, this opens up the article with a link to the Licensing Agreement.

Click on Licensing Agreement and toggle the switch to accept the terms and conditions, you will then return to the main articles page.

How To Access MagManager Content

In the top Navigation bar you will see 'Articles' this is where you can access the MagManager Content.

How To Search MagManager Content

Using the Quick Search dropdown menus you can select articles based on size, design style, category or month.  You can also use the central search box for more specific searches.

The history tab will display a full list of all the content you have downloaded. If you have downloaded content that you do not plan to use, please click the red 'I won't use this button' to remove the article from your account.

Error Message - You Have Already Used 2 Of This Category Of Article

The system will allow you to download two articles per month from each category.  If you try to download a third you will see a warning message (see below) rather than the download buttons. 

You will need to go to the history tab in the top navigation bar > then click 'I won't use this' to remove the articles from your downloads. (see screenshot above).  You'll then be able to download another article from that category.

Changed Your Mind and Want To Use An Article You Have Set As 'I won't Use This'

If you've set an article to 'I Won't Use This' then decide you would like to use it,  when you click on the article you'll see the error message below.  Simply click on the word History and it will take you to the History screen.

On the History screen, ensure you have the 'Show Deleted' toggle switch turned on (green), then choose the article you wish to use and click the green 'I will Use This' button.

This Content Has Already Been Used In A Competitor's Magazine - Error Message

The other message you might see is 'This content has already been used in a competitor's magazine' meaning another user in the same postcode area has used this article.  You can return to the search and choose the article in another design style or download the zip file and create your own design.

Download Article To Use Outside of MagManager

From the main articles page, click on the article you want to use, from here you can choose to Download a Zip file or download a PDF version of the file or click back to return to the main article listings.

File formats

The zip file contains a word document with the article text and an images file with the supporting images along with an Indd Packaged file containing the original Indesign packaged file for the Contempory design.

The Traditional & Designer Choice styles are only available in PDF format.

 

Download Article Directly Onto The Flatplan

From The Flatplan, expand the artwork size from the left side, hover over 'Add Content' and drag it over onto the flatplan.

The articles listing will open up, click the article you wish to use.

The article page will open up, select 'Place on Flat Plan'.

This will open up the Content Details page with the article in place, simply click save.

This takes you back to the flatplan with the article displayed.

Download Article to use across Multiple Publications

In this example the same full page content is booked into three publications.

The same full page content space is attached to each booking line

Open up the flatplan and locate the booking in the side bar. Click on the centre of the content to open up the Content Details page.  From here Click 'Find Content'mceclip15.png

The articles listing will open up, click the article you wish to use.
