What is 2 Step Authentication

2 Step authentication also know as Two-factor authentication (2FA) is an identity and access management security method that requires two forms of identification to access resources and data.  The first is your username and password and the second is a code sent to your email address or phone using Google Authenticator app.

 

How to Set up 2 Step Authentication

To set up 2 Step Authentication on your MagManager account you can either use your email to receive the 6 digit code or you will need to install the Google Authenticator app onto your mobile phone.  Available on app store / google play.

In MagManager Click on your initials or avatar - top right of navigation bar > Select My Details.

Option 1 - Using Google Authenticator

Under 2 Factor Auth > Select Use Google Authenticator from the dropdown menu.

In the Google Authenticator app > click the multi coloured + sign > Either scan the QR Code below or manually enter the set up key > Then enter the 6 digit code displayed under MagManager (Your Name) in the verify field below and click Verify > Click Save.

Once set up, every time you login to MagManager, you will be asked to enter the 6 digit code from the Google Authenticator app > Enter the 6 digit code > Click Submit - Magmanager will open as normal.

Option 2 - Using email

Under 2 Factor Auth > Select Use Email from the dropdown menu > Save

Once set up, every time you login to MagManager, you will be asked to enter the 6 digit code which has been sent to your email account > Enter the 6 digit code > Click Submit - Magmanager will open as normal.
